News Traffic Alert 1

There is a great possibility that the weight of traffic travelling South on 'I4' will cause long traffic jams that can back up as far as The Beach Line Expressway at International Drive Exit 1 West and all the way down to 'I4' Exit 68 West.

Driving from -
Orlando International Airport (MCO)
to International Drive, Lake Buena Vista & the Kissimmee-US Hwy 192 area
via. Beachline Expressway / The Bee Line Expressway & I4 - Page 5

We are clear of Tolls now, just the Freeway to negotiate in a couple of miles.
Hopefully you are getting into it now and feeling relaxed. I would recommend
ignoring the radio for a while, maybe tomorrow!

This image simply shows a good close up of the highway sign layout used thought Florida

If you have driven this way before (but not for a few year) this exit is new to you.

You can use it to get to Hotels on Universal Blvd. But it's not as exciting as going via. International Drive.

If you are staying in the International Drive area... We are getting close to I-Drive now...

This first is for 'International Drive @ Exit# 1'

Visitors to International Drive area, exit here

For Kissimmee (& areas) and Lake Buena Vista, it is the far sign we are interested in.
This is where the '528' Beechline / Beeline Expressway ends. The sign is huge and very simple to follow. From this point you can just see the road splitting left / right.

Here it is closer. The vast majority of traffic heads in the Disney, Kissimmee, Tampa direction which is West, not South. {on a map it looks as though 'I4' runs North / South, but if you look at the State of Florida it runs West to East. I4 is an Interstate Freeway, so it runs in relation to Florida not to Orlando}

There are two lanes going left, make sure you are in the middle of the current three lanes. That way you will end up in the right lane.

Caution, after this sign, International Drive's on-ramp joins between here and I4.
There can be heavy traffic, some zooming left across three lanes to go West on I4.

This is the end of the '528' Beachline Bee Line.
You can see two lanes heading left over the bridge, West towards Tampa and therefore to Kissimmee (& areas) and Lake Buena Vista.

The single lane right, heads East bound to Orlando and points East.
